How to give life to your Xiaomi dead phone

Hello Friends,

I am sharing here is the small information with all of you related to Xiaomi phones.

If by any mean your Xiaomi phone become dead. You can give it life again using the following two procedures.

1. By flashing in Recovery mode
2. By flashing in Fastboot mode

For flashing in Recovery mode , download the ROM (Global/China-Stable/Developer) you need to flash based on your handset through

1. Guide for flashing in recovery mode:
Important: If you phone is live still you want to do flashing take a backup of data and charge your phone fulling before going for flashing.

Steps are as follows:

Step 1

1. Download the latest MIUI ROM file From Above Links.
2. Rename the downloaded ROM file to ‘update.zip’ on the computer. 

Step 2
1. Connect your device to the Windows PC/laptop via a micro USB cable, and copy the ROM file downloaded and renamed in Step 1 into the root directory of the internal storage of your device. (Do not put it in any folder) 

Step 3
1.Enter the Recovery mode of your device. There are 2 methods to do it as follows:
Method 1: Launch ‘Updater’ app on your device, click the ‘…’ icon at the top-right corner, and select ‘Reboot to Recovery mode’ to enter.
Method 2: You can also turn off your device and then hold both Volume+ button and Power button at the same time to enter Recovery mode.

Step 4
In Recovery mode, you can use Volume +/- to select up/down, and Power button to confirm.
After entering Recovery mode, choose the language you use, select ‘Install update.zip to System One’ and confirm, and then your device will begin updating automatically. Wait until the update is completed, choose ‘Reboot to System One’, and then your device should boot to the new version.

2. Guide for flashing in Fastboot mode:
For flashing the phone in fastboot mode, you need the download the ROM with fastboot , normal ROM will not going to work here.

Note: 
1. This will erase all your data and internal storage so better you backup them first.
2. I'm not responsible if anything goes wrong with your device.

Requirement:
1. Minimal ADB and Fastboot
2. Fastboot rom
3. Mi Pc Suite (for drivers, you can skip if already installed drivers)

Preparing:
1. Install Mi Pc Suite.
2. Install Minimal ADB and Fastboot.
3. Extract fastboot rom anywhere.
4. Copy all the files from images folder to the directory where Minimal ADB And fastboot is installed.
for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Minimal ADB and Fastboot

Procedure:
1. Connect your phone to pc in fastboot mode (Turn off the phone, press and hold the Volume Down key and the Power button at the same time to enter Fastboot mode),your Pc will install some drivers automatically.
2. Go to Minimal ADB and Fastboot directory .

3. Here You have 3 options to select.

Choose the options carefully as per your need:-

3.1. Flash_all:- Clears all the data of the built-in storage, clear all user data, please be careful!(Clean Install)

3.2. Flash_all_except_storaget:- Will erase all user data does not clear the built-in storage data.

3.3. Flash_all_except_data_storage:- Does not clear the built-in storage data does not clear user data

Note:- It is advised to take all personal data backup on PC/Laptop

Simply double click on "Flash_all.bat" in Minimal ADB and Fastboot directory . Your Devices will reboot automatically when flashing done.
